If you had Steve McFadden’s single being dug out by EastEnders fans on your 2024 bingo card, then go ahead and cross it off – because we certainly didn’t!
Yes, that’s right, everyone’s favourite East End bad boy can SING!
We’ve seen his award-winning acting on our TV screens four times a week for decades, were recently introduced to his impressive dance moves during his 2023 panto stint, but now Steve has proven that he is a true triple threat.
Twitter/X user Amy caught the attention of EastEnders fans when they posted a picture of the legendary Barbara Windsor’s 1999 album.

However, the thing that drew fans’ eyes was actually the track listing, which boasts a duet with Steve McFadden.
Barbara and Steve played mother and son for many years on the BBC soap, so their song choice of ‘You’ve Got A Friend’ was absolutely perfect.
And before you ask – yes, it is available to stream, as Twitter/X user Lauren excitedly pointed out.
Steve wasn’t the only EastEnders legend to have contributed his singing prowess to the album, as it also featured a duet with Frank Butcher actor Mike Reid.
Unfortunately, we don’t think Phil Mitchell will be giving the Walford locals a performance anytime soon, as his family has been left reeling by the arrival of the estranged Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford).
