Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) proves he’s not afraid of getting on cousin Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) bad side, when he steps up his pursuit of Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) in EastEnders.

Billy Mitchell’s (Perry Fenwick) long-lost brother arrived in Walford last month with his sons Harry (Elijah Holloway) and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman), and immediately locked horns with head of the family Phil.

However, the pair looked to have put their egos aside after a darts tournament and a family lock-in at The Boxing Den.

Despite the family bonding, Teddy was later seen enjoying a drink with Sharon in the Queen Vic, and there was obvious chemistry between the pair.

While Sharon – who recently shared a kiss with Phil – cut short their evening by politely declining the offer of another round, Teddy’s dad Stevie (Alan Ford) issued him a warning to stay away from Phil’s ex-wife.

His advice seems to have gone in one ear and out of the other though, as during Thursday’s episode, fans will see Teddy try his luck with Sharon once again.

Will Sharon go against her better judgement and take Teddy up on his offer? And what will Phil say when he finds out?

EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw teased that the arrival of Teddy and his sons Harry and Barney would be an ‘unwelcome surprise’ for Phil, suggesting Teddy’s sudden bond with him might not be genuine after all…

EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday 11 July at 8.15pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
