Next week on EastEnders, Reiss makes some choices that look set to backfire on him, Penny turns ruthless when she spots an opportunity, and Kat faces problems with Tommy.
Here are 10 spoilers to look forward to next week.
1. Reiss considers a risky move
Reiss’ money woes are continuing to worsen, and a call from the nursing home to remind him how much cash he owes them does not help matters.
Needing a financial boost quickly, Reiss decides to make up a VAT invoice that he says Sharon needs to pay.
Despite nearly backing out of the idea, he soon realises that he has no choice but to go ahead with the plan, so he tells Sharon that she has until the next day to pay up. But will Sharon be deceived so easily?
2. Dean’s plea hearing arrives
Dean remains behind bars for the murder of Keanu, and the day finally arrives for his plea hearing next week.
When Jack reveals that he can’t attend, Bernie is left disappointed. But she soon finds a distraction when Linda’s behaviour makes her suspect that something might be amiss. Will Linda be able to keep herself composed?
3. Tommy’s behaviour causes concern
When Tommy skips school after already being told off by Kat and Alfie, they both realise that they have a problem on their hands – and things are only set to get worse from here.
Firstly, Tommy heads to the gym to spar with Phil against their wishes, then he eavesdrops on Harvey and Maya and assumes they are having an affair, before then telling Phil that he wants him to get back together with Kat. Will Alfie and Kat be able to get Tommy back on the right path?
4. Linda sparks suspicion
Linda and Sharon come together to share their worries over Dean’s plea hearing and what will happen when he eventually goes to trial.
Elaine is all too aware of some of the issues Linda has been having of late and attempts to give her daughter a pep talk to cheer her up. But she soon spots an empty vodka bottle and assumes the worst. Has Linda fallen off the wagon again?
5. Kat and Tommy clash
Tommy’s behaviour worsens when he fails to turn up for his summer job and instead focuses all his attention on reuniting Phil and Kat – whether they both want to get back together or not.
But when Kat turns up and learns what he has been up to, she makes it abundantly clear that there is zero chance that she will reunite with Phil and orders Tommy home straight away. But Tommy reacts badly and soon he and Kat are in a row that is bigger than they have ever had before.
6. Reiss is in a complicated spot
Reiss’s attempts to get money out of Sharon does not go to plan when he is overheard by Phil, who immediately knows that something is not right.
While Sharon concedes that Reiss is probably in the right as she has not been as attentive to the books as she should have been, Phil is still not convinced.
When Sharon goes to see Reiss to ask for the missing receipt, it looks as though he may have got himself into an impossible situation. Will he be able to find a way to get himself out of it?
7. Penny gets a job opportunity
When Avani steals a top from her stall, Penny finds herself clashing with Ravi when she goes to tell him about it. Fortunately, Penny soon gets a chance to leave her stall behind and to start working elsewhere.
Chelsea realises she has potential and offers her the opportunity to head up a night at Peggy’s. But this may be something that Chelsea soon comes to regret…
8. Sonia debates a big decision
Before heading to the care home to spend some time with Debbie, Sonia confides in Martin about her money worries and soon comes up with a plan to get her and Reiss back on a good financial footing.
Deciding to sell number 25 to raise the cash, Sonia goes full steam ahead and wastes little time in arranging a meeting with the estate agent to get the process started. But while she is determined to invest in her and Reiss’ future, will she soon learn what Reiss has been doing?
9. Chelsea is shocked by Penny’s actions
Chelsea’s week takes a sharp turn for the worse when she is busted drinking on the job by Phil. He wastes little time in demoting her, and she is devastated by the news.
Chelsea’s loss looks set to be Penny’s gain when she immediately puts herself forward for the position of manager at Peggy’s. Chelsea is left shocked at Penny’s actions and tries to plead with Phil for a second chance – but will he be swayed?
10. The walls could be closing in on Reiss
Sonia is in a great mood and decides to prepare a romantic meal for Reiss so they can share in her excitement together.
But she is soon given a shock when she is visited by Martin and Lauren, who reveal what they really think about Reiss. They are unable to convince her to listen to what they are saying and angrily kicks them out. But will she realise that Reiss is up to no good?
