Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) might be engaged and with a baby on the way, but partner Reiss Colwell’s actions continue to affect her happiness in EastEnders next week.
Fans of the BBC soap previously saw Reiss propose to partner Sonia, just days after smothering comatose wife Debbie to death in a bid to fix his money woes.
However, they agreed to keep news of their engagement a secret, fearing how it would look to the other locals, who were already gossiping about them using Debbie’s money to fund their IVF treatment.
News of their engagement soon leaked, however, but next week Sonia is saddened once again when she can’t show an excited Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) her engagement ring, and it’s all because of Reiss’ latest actions.
As viewers know, the ring actually belonged to Debbie, with Reiss stealing it from the morgue before selling it to Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) to help pay his debts to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
Eve later used the ring to propose to partner Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) in front of a packed Queen Vic.
But with the money only making a dent in the amount he owes Phil, the Walford hardman issues Reiss with a menacing threat later in the week.
Just how far will Reiss go to clear his debts? Or will Phil end him before he gets the chance?
