Denzel Daynes (Jaden Ladega) recently developed a dependency on anabolic steroids in EastEnders.
The teen was left feeling self-conscious of his body after a showdown with bully Logan, and then became obsessed with fitness and building his strength.
With his fitness videos attracting attention online, Denzel started collaborating with influencer Ebony – leaving girlfriend Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) less than impressed.
The storyline took a dramatic turn a few weeks ago, when Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) was left hospitalised after taking steroids supplied by Denzel.
The young man was then arrested for giving Nugget the drugs that ultimately resulted in him being rushed to hospital and making him very sick.
In upcoming episodes of the BBC soap, there’s relief for his family somewhat, as Denzel receives a suspended sentence for his steroid charges.
But will this be enough for Denzel to stay on the straight and narrow?
Elsewhere next week, Denzel’s friends Nugget, Amy and Avani (Aaliyah James) will decide to gatecrash the party being held at Peggy’s.
Unbeknownst to them, the event is already at full capacity due to Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) meddling with the ticket situation online.
As people file into the building, chaos ensues when it becomes dangerously overcrowded, resulting in a crush taking place.
In the week, Jack (Scott Maslen) arrives at Peggy’s to see the aftermath of the crush – but what will the outcome be?
