But, what if – This year, the fans get to see a relaxing yuletide on the show? A few EastEnders viewers took to Reddit and explored a discussion on the same. It seems like fans are thinking ahead and hoping for a calm Christmas.
However, they do understand that the BBC soap always plans the most thrilling storyline around this time when everything goes wrong, but for once, they’d like to see holiday cheer all around Albert Square.
Several fans jumped at the opportunity and wished the same. One of them wrote, “If they WERE to do that again, and we finally got to see everyone actually happy and content on Christmas, I would personally consider it a nice refreshing change.” It definitely would be a good chance to enjoy the holiday spirit as our favourite soap characters. A few viewers reminisced about the festive seasons of 2005 and 2003.
EastEnders Spoilers reveal that Walford Christmas in 2005 ended beautifully. Sharon and Dennis found out they were going to become parents while Kat and Alfie drove off to travel around the world.
The other residents of Square ran out to Walford to play in the snow as O Come All Ye Faithful played in the background. This whole scenario sounds so heartwarming and pretty; we all need another happy ending once again!
Even though the soap bosses have confirmed nothing of this sort, we surely hope that it happens. This comes after the BBC programme revealed that this Xmas time dramatic storyline will involve The Mitchells.
