EASTENDERS star Priya Nandra Hart has revealed her surprisingly normal job before she landed her role on the soap.
Sophie Khan Levy first joined the BBC One serial drama in October 2023.
But the 35-year-old actress has now revealed that she had a completely normal job before executive producer Chris Clenshaw announced her casting.
A new video was posted on the official EastEnders Instagram account showing Sophie playing a cheeky game with three of her co-stars.
She decided to approach Aaron Thiara, Navin Chowdhry and Roland Manookian with three facts about herself.
Her colleagues had to guess which part of her life she was actually lying about.
One of the facts that turned out to be true was that she acted as a delivery driver during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Roland, who plays Teddy Mitchell, failed to guess the correct answer as he thought that was a lie.
Reflecting on her past career, she said: “It was during Covid. I was a delivery driver.
“It was during Covid. I didn’t have any work. Then my friend was like, driving wine around London.
“And then on the days off, he was like, ‘Oh, can you do it?’ And I was like, ‘Yes, please. I need some cash’, so I just drove wine around London.”
The other fact of her life that was true was that she was in the Scouts, and she was even given a huge honour by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
“I was awarded my Queen’s Scout Medal by The Queen at Windsor Castle.”
She did admit the lie was that she never had a dog called Pinky, rather the actress revealed that she never had a pet in her life.
“My mum has had a dog called Pinky,” Sophie declared.
The star added: “I had no pets growing up, I’ve actually never had animals! I never had any dog or pet.”
EastEnders is available to watch on BBC One or stream on BBC iPlayer.
