EastEnders’ legend Danny Dyer drops HUGE hint Mick Carter is set to return
His character died in a drowning accident, or so we thought...
DANNY Dyer has dropped a huge hint that he could make a huge return to EastEnders.
He previously played the fan favourite character, Mick Carter for nearly ten years on the iconic BBC soap.
But it seems that despite being busier than ever with filming the Football Factory sequel, Danny, 46, seems keen to return to the Square.
This was despite fan devastation over the apparent death of his character from drowning.
In the soap in scenes reminiscent of Den and Angie, the Queen Vic landlord was married to alcoholic Linda Carter.
Mick seemingly perished after he dove into the sea in an attempt to save his ex-wife, unaware she escaped to safety.
Linda is currently played by Strictly Come Dancing star Kellie Bright who still very much alive and kicking in Albert Square.
Behind the scenes, Kellie, 47 took to social media as she was in full transformation mode as she was dressed in Linda’s costume and had her hair and makeup fully prepared.
Referencing the recent highly-publicised Christmas storyline, she wore a t-shirt that read, “I killed Keanu.”
She couldn’t help but be tongue-in-cheek with the devoted fans of EastEnders as she exclaimed: “So what this? Er, yeah. I just, I liked it and I thought I’d get it.
“You know when you see something and you think that is so me. That is so me that top.”
She added: “I just had to have it.”
Below the post she was flooded with excited comments, including one from her former on-screen husband.
Danny commented: “Oh L….Bring Mick back. 💔.”
Fans were absolutely ecstatic about the comment, as of time of writing nearly 3,000 users liked his words.
Other soap viewers also took to the comments section to beg the star to return to Walford.
One fan wrote: “We want you back Danny L needs her Mick.”
Another noted: “⬆️ @officialdannydyer The only comment that matters! x.”
“Oh please come back it’s not the same without you😢,” begged a third viewer.
Meanwhile a fourth put: “Please!!! I’m asking very nicely 😂🥰.”
A fifth fan even had ideas for a comeback storyline as they suggested: “Yes , please bring Mick back…he could have easily washed up unconscious on Whitstable beach with Amnesia…Come on, they brought Dirty Den out of the canal…Xxx 🙏.”
