STRICTLY star Bobby Brazier has taken a swipe at Celebrity Big Brother following rumours he is set to star in the ITV reality show.

The EastEnders actor, who found a wider fanbase during his time on Strictly last year with pro dancer Dianne Buswell, has loftier aspirations.

He told Woman Magazine: “Absolutely not. I want to be an actor. Why would I do that when I’ve got EastEnders and other potential acting roles to think about. I want to be taken seriously as an actor.”

Bobby’s mum, the late Jade Goody, famously became a household name after starring in the civilian version of the show in 2002.

Her return to the house as part of Celebrity Big Brother season five wasn’t the triumphant comeback many had expected.

Instead Jade became embroiled in a racism row due to language used when describing the eventual winner, Indian actress Shilpa Shetty.

Earlier this year Jade’s widowed husband Jack Tweed warned his former stepson against taking part in the show.

Jack, who also appeared in series five of the show, told the Mail: “My advice would be to stay well clear. It is not worth it. Me and Jade did not have a great experience. It ended in disaster.

“I did not feel comfortable in that experience at all. You feel very exposed. It’s constant. It feels enclosed. We met a few nice people but I would not recommend it.

“It caused a lot of problems. If they asked me what I think having been on it myself I would say avoid it.”

CBB will return to screens on Monday night for the first time in six years.

The Sun previously told how AJ Odudu and Will Best will return to host the show, after making their debut as Big Brother hosts in October.

A source said: “There was huge pressure on AJ and Will’s shoulders when they launched ITV’s reboot of Big Brother but they’ve absolutely risen to it.

“Both had experience but this felt like a really big job and there were whispers ITV might’ve been better choosing a pair of safe hands like Big Brother legends Davina McCall or Rylan Clark.

“Will especially hadn’t been on a proper prime-time production for a good few years, but it’s already hard to imagine the show without them.”
