Alfie lashes out with baseball bat in EastEnders ‘burglary’ – then recognises who he has hit
Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) is to get a huge shock in EastEnders next week as he discovers intruders at his flat – but in a further shock, he recognises them!
It’s been a turbulent year for Alfie after battling prostate cancer, and this week he heads out for a meal with ex-wife Kat (Jessie Wallace) and their sons Tommy (Sonny Kendall), Bert and Ernie to celebrate the end of his hormone therapy.
During the meal, Tommy clocks a bit of flirting between the two, and suggests taking the twins home so they can make the most of their evening.
Later, Alfie calls Kat to tell her that he suspects No. 5D is being burgled and quickly picks up one of the lads’ toy baseball bats to launch an attack…
…only to discover it’s Freddie (Bobby Brazier) and Mo (Laila Morse)!
The Slater clan are delighted to have them home, but Freddie soon realises that because Kat and her kids are staying with Alfie, he’ll be forced to move into the already crowded No. 31.
The bustling house is home to Jean (Gillian Wright), Stacey (Lacey Turner), Harvey (Ross Boatman), Lily (Lillia Turner), Arthur, Hope and Charli.
However, as the locals begin to gossip about a potential reunion between Kat and Alfie, Freddie feels inclined to bite the bullet and give them a chance.
Meanwhile, Big Mo has her heart set on another local – Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford).
Plus, there’s further relationship woes for Freddie as he spots Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) and Anna (Molly Rainford) kissing.
Both boys fancied Anna last year, and after she found out that she shared a mutual half-brother (Peter, Thomas Law) with Bobby, she moved onto Freddie.
However, in his absence, the two have reconciled.
