EastEnders aired a heartwrenching departure as a character bid adieu to Walford for good, while another familiar face made a comeback.
In Thursday night’s episode (April 25), Jade Masood made her final exit from Walford after a dramatic confrontation with her villainous father, Dean Wicks. After tricking him into confessing his meddling with her medication to prevent her departure, she declared their relationship over.
In a brutal showdown, she lashed out at her dad and wished him a hellish fate, expressing her belief that he murdered Keanu Taylor despite his denials. Fans know that the real culprit behind Keanu’s death is Linda Carter and The Six, who have framed Dean for the crime.
Aware of Dean’s manipulative tactics over the past few months to stop her from relocating to Pakistan to join her mother Shabnam Masood, Jade questioned his potential for further harm. Upon his confession about tampering with her medication and causing her illness, then blaming it on Jean Slater, Jade didn’t hold back in expressing her disdain for him.

Following this, she spent some time with Jean and others at The Vic, knowing she would soon be embarking on a new life. After expressing her gratitude to Jean, she also had a conversation with Linda, questioning her about whether she believed her father was capable of murder, reports the Mirror.
Linda was visibly uncomfortable with this, considering she had set Dean up. Jade then expressed her hope that Linda would find closure, referencing the 2014 incident where Dean raped Linda and escaped punishment.
Subsequently, Jade bid farewell and exited Walford for good. As Jean, Harvey Monroe and others congregated outside the house, she said her goodbyes as Harvey drove her out of Walford.
Just before her departure, she shared a poignant moment with Keanu’s sister Bernadette Taylor. This was also a gripping moment as Bernadette made her comeback during these scenes.
Bernie had previously left for Spain to inform their mother Karen Taylor and the rest of the family about Keanu’s death. Upon her return, Bernie and Jade shared a moment, with Jade feeling remorse over her father allegedly murdering Bernie’s brother.
