EastEnders fans have been left concerned for Kat Slater after a worrying Nish Panesar twist on Friday night’s episode, which was released on BBC iPlayer earlier this week.
Only recently, Walford villain Nish set his sights on Kat following both of their marriage splits. Soap watchers will recall that Nish’s wife Suki finally left him for her partner Eve Unwin after his controlling and abusive behaviour led to dramatic scenes. Meanwhile, Kat has called it quits with husband Phil Mitchell after his infidelity with Emma Harding was exposed.
However, after Nish bought her a coat not to her taste and told her off for questioning Priya, Kat put an end to their blossoming romance and decided to give things another go with estranged husband Phil.
Yet in true soap style, Karen Taylor, who made a brief return this week, delivered some home truths, pointing out that Phil’s on-off ex Sharon Watts will always come first. After realising that the trust is gone with Phil and she will always be second best, Kat ended things for good.

Things took a sour turn on Friday when Nish evicted Kat and the boys from the flat he was lending them following their split. Later, Kat was horrified to learn that Tommy had gone to live with Phil and decided to turn the youngster against his stepfather by revealing he cheated on her.
An upset Tommy then ran away to which Nish found him and brought the youngster back to Kat. During the meeting, Kat and Nish decided to clear the air and make a go of things again. However, it was soon revealed that Nish is actually using Kat as he revealed to Priya she has value.
Priya was confused about Nish getting back with Kat to which Nish explained: “I’ve seen the light, she has value, Priya. It’s the golden ratio, 20% romance and 80% usefulness.” Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “Using Kat to try and take the businesses… #Eastenders”, a different account put: “Nish is SO unlikeable .
