In upcoming scenes this week, Keanu Taylor’s body is finally found, months on from his murder at the hands of Linda Carter. Viewers know that on Christmas Day, Keanu was stabbed to death with a meat thermometer by Linda who was trying to protect Sharon Watts, as Keanu began strangling her.
The Six, including Sharon, Linda, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale and Denise Fox, then covered up the crime and their parts in it. Keanu’s corpse was buried under the floor of the café, while the women told the police that Keanu had fled and was on the run after attacking Nish Panesar. This lie and his true fate look set to come to light in the coming weeks though, as a corpse is found at the café when the floor caves in this week.
Next week, following the shocking and sad news, Albert Square gossips about last week’s discovery while the residents rally around Bernie in her hour of need after learning that her brother is dead. Spoilers reveal that later in the week, Bernie leaves Walford to visit mother Karen Taylor in Spain and inform her of Keanu’s death.

Soap fans will recall that Karen left Walford last year for sunny Spain. Karen left under a cloud when she took full responsibility for the orchestrated kidnap of Albie, Sharon and Keanu’s son. She decided to leave the Square for good, taking Phil Mitchell’s money – which he gave to Sharon to pay off the kidnapper – with her.
Karen made a brief return earlier this year in search of her son Keanu, who was believed at the time to be missing after allegedly attacking Nish on Christmas Day. Yet soap watchers and The Six knew the truth of what really went down. However, Karen was back in Walford, demanding answers over her son’s disappearance as members of The Six looked on guilty before leaving again.
This marked Lorraine Stanley’s final appearance on the BBC soap, at least for the time being, as it’s likely that Karen will be focused on her new life in Spain with her family. However, with the sad news about Keanu, could Karen return back with Bernie?
