Dean Wicks will take revenge on Jean Slater on EastEnders next week after his sick secret is exposed.

Jean has been helping Jade with her fundraiser but she is actually very ill, with Dean messing with her medication. Whilst viewers know what Dean is doing, the Square is completely unaware and are concerned about Jade struggling with her health.

Next week on the BBC soap, Jean is left shocked when she sees Jade back in the square so soon after going to hospital after she collapsed during the fundraiser at the Queen Vic. Dean leaves Jean in charge of Jade and making sure she’s ok when a reporter from the Walford Gazette requests an interview about all that’s been happening with Jade in the Square.

Johnny steps in and suggests he gives the interviewer a character reference on Dean, which will no doubt ire the businessman. Whilst she’s alone with Jade, Jean presses her about her health and discovers that Dean has been administering her medication.

She finds the empty pill cases and knows she needs to get Jade out of her dad’s house. When Dean arrives home, he is horrified to see Jean trying to take Jade back to the Slaters and in quick thinking, he blames Jean for Jade’s poor health.

Some fans have been speculating that Shabnam Masood could be making a return to the soap. The constant mentions of Shabnam have left some fans convinced she is on her way back to Walford for good, whilst others believe she could return for a brief role and take Jade back with her. This has further lead to speculation that a triple exit could be on the cards as there is no reason for Dean to be in the Square. Could this storyline end with a triple exit for all involved – or what twists and turns are ahead?

Back when he joined the soap, Matt Di Angelo – who plays Dean – teased trouble was ahead. He said: “Dean is back in Walford to help his daughter Jade, but to do that, he needs to make a living and be part of the community. I think the biggest challenge is going to be facing the residents of Walford, as everyone has very strong opinions on Dean, and rightly so.”
