BBC EastEnders fans in a frenzy as show hints at soap icon’s return
EastEnders has appeared to confirm that a beloved character is back filming after fans shared their concerns following her ‘going missing’ from the BBC One soap
EastEnders fans have been left in a frenzy after the soap hinted at the return of a beloved character.
For years, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has been a staple on the soap – making her debut way back in 2004. Since then, she’s become one of the soap’s most iconic characters.
The feisty Walford resident has also played a part in several big storylines over the years, from her steamy affair with Max Branning (Jake Wood) to killing Archie Mitchell (Larry Lamb).
She also played a key role in the build-up to Christmas and the explosive episode last year, becoming a member of The Six. And her battle with bipolar bagged actress Lacey a slew of awards too.
“Stacey Slater from Walford, East London was last seen consecutively on the 15th & 16th May 2024. Reported sightings of Stacey were made on the 4th & 13th June 2024. Help find Miss Slater & bring her home!”
Someone else replied: “No but seriously where is my girl? she were in every single episode last year, there probably wasn’t a single day I didn’t see her. need her back NEOWN!”
A third also recently penned: “Where is Stacey Slater and why haven’t we seen her in weeks?” However, on Tuesday (July 9) EastEnders’ official social media page shared a snap of the actress and simply wrote: “Our lovely Lacey!”
In the comments section, some felt the post was hinting at Lacey’s return, as one person said: “Haven’t seen her for ages can’t wait to see her on screen.” Someone else penned: “Where has she been? Haven’t seen her in ages.”
A third wrote: “STACEY HAS BEEN FOUND!!!” Another chimed in and proclaimed: “Can’t wait to have her back on screen.”
