EastEnders fans have worked out a twist as Linda Carter confessed to her son Johnny that she murdered Keanu Taylor in the Queen Vic on Christmas Day

EastEnders fans are convinced they’ve worked out a huge twist as Linda Carter confessed to Keanu Taylor’s murder tonight.

Linda has been struggling with her drinking since Christmas, when she shockingly killed Keanu after he attacked Sharon on their wedding day. Nish was also injured in a separate attack and The Six have decided to pin Nish’s attack on Keanu, claiming he has made a break for it and has ran away from the Square to escape the police.

Tonight, Linda saw Gina head into the café with Dean following her. The fear was clear in her face as she followed her inside, knowing that’s where Keanu’s body is buried. A fight broke out between Dean and Linda’s son Johnny, which led to a glass being smashed.

When Linda ended up cutting her hand on the glass, she panicked seeing the blood on the floor and tried to wipe it away. Seeing something was up, when they headed home, Johnny quizzed her on why she started drinking again and soon, she revealed all about Christmas and what happened to her, leaving Johnny completely stunned.

Now Johnny knows about Keanu, fans are convinced they know where the storyline is heading – and it looks like he could be the one to protect Linda from all that might have happened to her if she was ever found out to have killed Keanu.

One fan wrote: “Linda told Johnny that she killed Keanu so she will tell him who helped her and where the body is. He will find out about Nish and that Denise hit him. He is a lawyer, so he might pin this on Denise since she hit nish and her necklace is buried with Keanu’s body. #EastEnders,” whilst a second added: “Although surely Johnny would never actually grass on his Mum? In fact if he knew Dean was secretly lurking upstairs on the night in question could use it to his advantage #EastEnders.”

Charlie Suff – who plays Johnny – admits his character is “completely flummoxed” by Linda’s reaction in the café.

Speaking about Johnny’s reaction to the scenes, Charlie said: “He is completely flummoxed. He doesn’t understand what is going on at all. Linda hasn’t given him any specifics as to what is really going on with her. Johnny keeps thinking he’s understood the situation and why she’s drinking and so upset, but then something else happens that changes things. He keeps landing back to square one but this is a moment that is a real shock to him, and Johnny realises something deeper is going on.”
