EastEnders fans are convinced Linda Carter needs to make a move from the Queen Vic and Walford, as exit fears are sparked for actress Kellie Bright

EastEnders fans have sparked fears Linda Carter could move out of the Queen Vic – and maybe even leave Walford.

Linda has been battling with her alcohol addiction after the murder of Keanu Taylor at Christmas. She has been struggling in the wake of all that was going on with Keanu but things worsened when police found the body under the café floor.

Whilst it looks like Dean Wicks might go down for what happened with Keanu, after being framed by The Six, fans are now worried that Linda might end up leaving Walford after the heartbreak she has faced there in recent months.

She lost her husband Mick Carter – played by Danny Dyer – in Christmas 2022 and then was the centre of the murder plot at the Queen Vic on Christmas Day 2023, but the after effects of all that happened clearly still haunt her.

After a chat with her mum Elaine tonight, fans are convinced Linda might leave the Square for good. One fan explained: “I think Linda needs to at least move out of the pub. The murder happened there and so did her rape. Even living with Alfie and not having to walk over the exact places these things happened would make a huge difference.

“George is so lost bless him I can totally understand why he’s being how he is – he just needs to think of his girls. Phil has been a great friend though I like this side of Phil. Yes it’s entertaining when he’s being a bad guy but he just shines being a guy with a dark past, a bit rough around the edges but ultimately someone who wants to help others.”

Another added: “Also I’m not sure how anyone expects her to work on her alcoholism when she’s living in a pub. It’s like now that Deans gone (for now or whatever) Elaine expects her not to be an alcoholic.

“Like you said even moving into someone else’s who can help with the kids would be such an improvement. It’s like asking someone with a gambling addiction to just give it up whilst living in a bookies,” whilst a third chimed in: “Plus, after George stormed out of the pub, her reaction was like “anyone else want a drink?” with Linda standing right there. I’m not suggesting that the loved ones of an alcoholic should go completely sober because of it, the person does need to learn to cope in a world where their addiction is readily available, and they do live in a pub after all. But some sensitivity and tact wouldn’t go amiss so you try not to trigger the person.”
