BBC EastEnders’ Jack Branning’s exit ‘sealed in prison twist’ as Keanu’s body found

EastEnders’ Jack Branning could be axed in upcoming scenes, after a devastating discovery on Tuesday night.

The character could find himself framed and sent to prison in an upcoming twist, if he doesn’t actually go on to commit a crime himself. Keanu Taylor’s body is going to be found this week, months on from his corpse being buried under the café floor by The Six following his Christmas Day murder.

Stacey Slater and Denise Fox were caught in the worst moment possible by Jack on Tuesday, with a cliffhanger hiding what will happen next. Now, Jack’s next move could see him sent to prison in a major twist as the truth about Keanu’s death comes to light.

Viewers know that Linda Carter murdered Keanu on Christmas Day with a meat thermometer, after he tried to strangle Sharon Watts. The murder was witnessed by Denise and Stacey as well as Kathy Beale and Suki Panesar.

They buried him under the café floor and covered it in cement, but now this floor has caved in. A stench was discovered coming through the cracked floor by none other than Keanu’s sister Bernie in the latest episode, and it’s only a matter of time before the body is found.

Knowing Denise’s necklace was still underground with the body after it fell in during the burial, Stacey agreed to help Denise sneak in and retrieve it before the police come snooping. But before they could get started they were caught out by Jack.

The episode ended with Jack asking what they were up to, while it’s clear they won’t get way with it. Jack will want answers as to why they’re trying to hammer the broken floor, never mind what is buried under it given the stench.

So will Denise and Stacey finally confess to what happened to Keanu and who was involved? Will he end up helping them if they do tell all, or perhaps will he go to the police and report them?

Either way it could lead to an exit for Jack, with him damned if he does damned if he don’t. If he finds out the truth and helps the women cover it up somehow, or at least their involvement, then if he’s exposed for lying he could end up facing prison.

Perhaps he will be sent down for covering up a murder or lying to the police. But what if Jack decides to expose his wife Denise, fling Stacey and the other women, and plans to reveal the truth to the police.

If this happens, will the women team up once more to destroy Jack and frame him for their crime? After all, they’ve found the murder weapon that went missing weeks earlier, so they could easily plant it in his house or car!
