BBC EastEnders’ vile Dean Wicks’ downfall ‘sealed’ as suspicious Harvey takes action

EastEnders fans will see someone possibly trigger the downfall of Dean Wicks next week on the BBC soap.

In recent scenes viewers witnessed Dean sabotaging his daughter’s medication following her lung transplant, as a means of keeping her with him. Jade was meant to be moving to Pakistan to be with her mother Shabnam Masood, but she’s recently been unwell and even collapsed.

Viewers know that this is because following her transplant, Dean has stopped her getting her needed antibiotics and has been removing her medication from the capsules. Jade has no idea but Jean Slater, a family friend, has grown suspicious.

In a recent episode Jade, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as a child, collapsed after she required breathing assistance via an oxygen tank. Dean had turned the tank off knowing full well it would restrict her oxygen, but his desperation to keep her with him led to him leaving her at risk.

When he was caught out he blamed Jean, as Jean had offered to look after her. He asked her what had happened like he didn’t know what was wrong with Jade, as her health continued to decline.

But things took a darker turn this week, when Jean finally realised the truth and tried to flee with Jade. Dean caught her and as she confronted him about the empty pills, he claimed it was her who had done it.

He suggested he had tried to rectify Jade’s mistake after she, not him, had been reducing the amount of pills given to Jade. Jade walked in and heard Dean claim Jean had not been sorting her medication properly.

As Jade fumed, Dean claimed he was protecting Jean when she asked why he lied about Jade herself missing her pills. She told Dean he was “twisting” the truth, but he suggested he would call the police and have them decide.

Jean then found pill casings in her bag and started to question reality. Speaking to her partner Harvey, she shared her concerns after Dean implied she was experiencing a bipolar episode.

She ended up departing Walford to stay with Mo to get some time away, and as she left she gave Dean a dark stare as he watched on. Harvey clocked this and appeared suspicious, and next week he is onto the villain.

When Jade spends time at the Slater house, Dean loses it and this reaction leaves Harvey confused. Dean appears to realise he’s on to him and posts a slanderous message about him on an online community page, leaving Harvey furious.

He’s now more determined than ever to find out what’s going on with Jade’s health with Jean still away. It seems Dean is threatened though, but will he finally be caught?
