Bobby Brazier is set to head back to EastEnders to reprise his role as Freddie Slater in the coming weeks, following rumours that he is dating a co-star.

It seems that Bobby is just as thrilled to be going back as fans are to have Freddie back on screen, as he revealed to Metro.co.uk at the Baftas.

‘I’m on my way back! I love them lot, I really love them lot. It’s a wicked place to keep turning up and keep learning. I learn so much there by everyone that I’m around.’

Freddie is set to return to the Square with EastEnders legend Big Mo Slater (Laila Morse) in tow, and Bobby enthused about being a part of the iconic soap family.

‘I’m lucky to be a Slater because the Slaters are home to some wicked, wicked actors. I’m still young, and I’ve still got to keep learning, and I’m doing exactly that.’

Elsewhere, Bobby addressed rumours that he is dating co-star Jazzy Phoenix, who recently returned to the show as scheming Nadine Keller.

‘Jazzy’s not my new girlfriend,’ he confirmed to the publication. ‘But you don’t believe everything you read do you? Come on now. We’re just good friends!’

Alongside his EastEnders return, Bobby is set to star in the upcoming Paramount Plus drama Curfew, alongside some EastEnders legends, including Anita Dobson, Lucy Benjamin and Larry Lamb, who played Angie Watts, Lisa Fowler and Archie Mitchell.

Speaking about the project, he told Metro.co.uk that he was ‘excited’.

‘That was really fun! I loved doing that, actually. I hope you enjoy it!’

He also addressed an upcoming series of Celebrity Gogglebox, which will see him take to the sofa alongside dad Jeff Brazier.

‘It’s fun. It’s a pretty easy day, to be fair. You just sit on the sofa and you watch TV! It’s a nice chance to do that with my dad, because we don’t really get to do that usually.

‘That’s how I see it. I’m just sitting down for a little while watching the telly!’
