EastEnders’ Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is to get horrific news that daughter Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) has been mugged.

To make matters worse, things quickly turn sour between her and ex George (Colin Salmon) when she attempts to grow closer to him.

As viewers of the BBC One soap will know, the pair shared a kiss several weeks ago, whilst she comforted him over the imprisonment of his adoptive dad Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) and subsequent loss of his mum Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell).

He was also engaging in fights at an underground boxing ring, and only Cindy knew about it.

Aware that he was keeping a secret, fiancée Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) became suspicious and discovered the kiss when listening into their conversation.

With Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) tearing a strip off her parenting skills, Ian (Adam Woodyatt) is forced to apologise on her behalf but thats the least of her priorities as she heads to The Vic with Jack (Scott Maslen) to get Anna to make a statement.

Realising that they’re going to have to sort the incident themselves, Cindy and George head to the Boxing Den to review the CCTV footage and later, she tries to get closer to him by discussing their daughter’s needs.

Anna calls by at No. 55 to speak with her dad, and is shocked to find him drinking with her mum. When she leaves, Cindy continues on her plight to reel George in, but he remains firm and shows her out – with Junior (Micah Balfour) watching from afar.

Later in the week, still adamant to get her hands on ‘her’ man, she convinces Anna and Gina (Francesca Henry) to organise a dinner and movie night for them all, but a row with Ian soon follows.

Trying to make it up to her, he begins to prepare a surprise romantic dinner and awaits at home for her return. Little does he know, she’s made herself up and has headed over to No. 55.

Will she succeed, or will George decide his heart is with Elaine?
