Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) is the subject of much concern in EastEnders next week when it comes to light that Mason, the boy she has been messaging, is significantly older than her.
Upcoming scenes will see 15-year-old Avani messaging a mystery guy, sparking the interest of Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman).
Barney is left upset as Avani is supposed to be spending time with him but she’s more interested in her phone, which leads him to ask questions.
Next week, Avani starts to hang out with Mason, who is 18 years old, and Barney is left unnerved by such a thing as he interrupts, revealing Avani’s age.
Mason is shocked, having thought that Avani was a uni student. Avani, however, brushes over his concerns and the pair subsequently kiss.
Later, she turns her attention to Barney, strong-arming him into keeping quiet about Mason. The question is: will Barney agree to do so?
For the time being, the answer is yes, with Avani grateful towards him for such a thing.
But will Barney ultimately spill the beans?
It’s safe to assume that Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) and especially Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) wouldn’t be too happy to learn about 18-year-old Mason hanging around Avani, that’s for sure!
Ravi has demonstrated on numerous occasions in the past that he’s not to be messed with, so Mason had better watch out!
Both Ravi and Priya have lately found themselves preoccupied with Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), who returned to the Square earlier this year, claiming that he’s dying.
Nish, who has caused his family nothing but heartache, has yet to receive his comeuppance, but viewers are certainly eager to see such a thing transpire.
