Deal with the devil as unlikely local falls into Phil Mitchell’s murky world in EastEnders

Things get heated in EastEnders next week, as Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) is forced to seek work elsewhere…

Things have been fraught at No. 25 ever since Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) departed the Square after sixteen years.

On her wedding day to Zack Hudson (James Farrar), their foster daughter Britney (Lola Campbell) exposed his affair with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).

Whit was understandably devastated, and decided to pack her bags and move to Wakefield to live with her brother.

Bianca intended to follow them to the North, but when Whitney discovered that she knew about the fling, she was cut off from her life for good.

 

As well as that, Bianca’s more outgoing personality has seen her clash with sister Sonia’s (Natalie Cassidy) boyfriend Reiss.

The pair are currently expecting a baby after months and months of trying IVF, so the last thing Reiss needs to hear is that a major client has dropped him, leaving their finances in jeopardy.

Beginning to worry, Sonia explains to Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) that Reiss is looking to take on more work, and suggests he talk to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who is looking for an accountant.

Sounds dodgy!

Heads home, he tries to consume the family in his own woes, unaware that Bianca has heard from Whitney that she isn’t ready to forgive her.

The two squabble and Bianca drowns her sorrows at the bar, before launching a vicious verbal attack at him and spurting some vile insults.

The row is enough to convince Reiss that Bianca needs to leave. She tries to talk him round, but he stands firm.

The incident seems to be somewhat of a storm in a teacup, as things soon take a turn for the worse…
