EastEnders‘ Kat Mitchell made some major decisions about her future in the show’s latest episode.
Thursday’s visit to Walford (February 8) is already available to watch on BBC iPlayer, despite not being on BBC One until tomorrow evening.
The BBC soap is experiencing scheduling changes throughout the week, but the episodes are still available to watch online from 6am as usual.
The latest scenes revisited Kat’s feelings about her recent split with husband Phil.
Kat has since attempted to move on from Phil by having a fling with local villain Nish, but that began to turn sour as well.
After spending the night with Nish again, Kat reluctantly accepted a gifted coat from him that was clearly not to her taste.
She was unimpressed when he also chastised her for questioning Priya on her work ethic, and purposely walked off without the coat.
When Nish caught up with Kat, he encouraged her to wear it – much to the disgust of her family, who witnessed the exchange.
Horrified, Jean stepped in and gave Kat home truths about her new relationship with Nish, while also urging her not to throw her marriage with Phil away because of one mistake.
With Jean’s words ringing true, Kat decided to call it off off with Nish, who was furious at being rejected again.
Kat then approached Phil and said that she’d be willing to give their relationship another go.
Things seemed to be going well, until Karen approached the pair and shared some new information about Phil and Sharon.
Karen told a devastated Kat that Sharon would always come first where Phil was concerned and shared her theory that Phil was behind Keanu’s disappearance.
Unable to shake off Karen’s words, Kat reasoned that she will always come second in line to Sharon.
Kat emotionally explained to Phil that didn’t want to be the kind of woman who is paranoid all the time, and insisted there was no way back for them now the the trust had gone from their relationship.
Kat then decided to end their marriage once and for all, before walking away in tears. But what does the future hold for her now?
