EastEnders cheating scandal looms as major character declares love for someone who is taken
Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) looks set for imminent heartbreak in EastEnders, as Freddie Slater’s (Bobby Brazier) feelings for his girlfriend Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) were finally revealed to her on Wednesday.
The BBC soap has been teasing the love triangle for weeks now, but things are starting to reach a climax ahead of Bobby’s forthcoming exit.
The latest episode saw Freddie continue to try and dodge Anna, which made her concerned she had done something to upset him, unaware he has been wrestling with his feelings for her.
After finding him at the café, Freddie offered her some reassurance before agreeing to a group lunch with Anna, Bobby and Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) at Walford East.
However, when Bobby and Gina were delayed, waitress Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy) teased the pair about beig a couple, prompting a guilty Freddie to make his excuses and bolt from the restaurant.
Back at The Vic, Gina was annoyed to hear from her sister about Freddie’s odd behaviour and rushed off to the Slaters’ to confront him.
While there, she found a sketchbook belonging to Freddie, which was full of drawings of Anna.
Forcing him to confess his feelings, Freddie revealed to Gina how he’d previously overheard her and her sister discussing Anna’s attraction to him.
Telling of how this had caused him to pull away from Anna, Freddie insisted nothing could happen between them as Anna is with his best friend, and they had already betrayed him once.
Fans will remember that the pair hooked up last year when Freddie knew Bobby was harbouring a secret crush on Anna, which left Bobby devastated.
While Freddie begged Gina to keep her latest discovery a secret, she wasted no time in telling her sister, who was left stunned to hear her feelings were reciprocated.
While it remains to be seen if Anna and Freddie will give into passion and betray Bobby, we already know that Anna will soon find out she is pregnant with Bobby’s baby in forthcoming scenes.
What will this mean for the trio?
