EastEnders confirms major diagnosis as villain’s fate is ‘sealed’ in 57 pictures
EastEnders serves up a game-changer of a week next week but you needn’t wait until then to get a sneak of the drama, with Metro’s new gallery offering 57 pictures of what’s to come.
The BBC One soap is breaking from its normal format, with a special two-hander episode being lined up, with Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) confiding in Patrick (Rudolph Walker) about her ordeal.
Patrick grows concerned about Yolande as her behaviour sparks concern, with the much-loved legend seeking advice from Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler), unaware that he is the reason why Yolande has been struggling.
Yolande, however, is fuming to see the two talking and thus resolves to open up to Patrick. Doing so proves more difficult than she imagined and, struggling to find the words, she asks confidante Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) to tell Patrick for her.
Patrick is devastated to learn the truth and wastes little time in trying to seek revenge as he makes a beeline for the abusive pastor, with Yolande desperate to stop him from doing so. After a heart-to-heart, she agrees to report Pastor Clayton to the church officials.
But will Pastor Clayton get what he deserves?
Elsewhere in the Square, George Knight (Colin Salmon) is devastated to learn that Gloria’s (Elizabeth Counsell) funeral has been held without him and thus he takes part in another illegal fight.
With the girls suggesting a memorial of their own, George attempts to remember Gloria in his own words but he becomes dizzy and is subsequently rushed to hospital, where he’s told that he has a brain condition that could kill him if he ever sets foot in a ring again!

And as for newcomer Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford)? Well, Honey (Emma Barton) tries to persuade Billy (Perry Fenwick) to give Stevie a chance, but he’s adamant that the returnee is allowed nowhere near their family.
Stevie, however, bumps into the kids at the cafe and makes an effort to get to know them all better over lunch but Billy storms over to The Vic to warn him off.
It’s going to be quite a week in the Square!
