EastEnders confirms major return twist as resident goes missing in 29 pictures
EastEnders welcomes back one of its most infamous characters next week, as confirmed in my new picture gallery, with Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) set for a return.
The former Queen Vic landlady, who murdered Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) almost two decades ago, crosses paths in prison with Sharon (Letitia Dean), who was held in contempt of court following her outburst at the trial earlier this week.
With Sharon now knowing what’s it like to assist in the cover-up of a murder at the Vic, the question is: is there any hope of forgiveness where Chrissie is concerned?
Or will the former foes continue to lock horns?
Elsewhere, George Knight (Colin Salmon) bonds with Kojo but, after Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) accidentally triggers Kojo, Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) intervenes, telling her beau that the newcomer has to go because they aren’t equipped to deal with his needs.
Kojo, however, overhears and disappears, with George quick to point the finger at Elaine. As the police are involved in the search, will Kojo be found?
Anna Knight (Molly Rainford), meanwhile, is upset – but Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) has to work and thus enlists the help of Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).
Freddie, however, is apprehensive about being alone with Anna and makes up a flimsy excuse, which leaves her hurt.
Confused, Anna asks Freddie if everything is okay but, after suffering a dizzy spell, she discovers that she is pregnant – with Bobby’s baby!
It’s going to be quite the week in Walford!
EastEnders airs these scenes between Monday, September 9 and Thursday, September 12 at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
