EastEnders confirms Phil Mitchell’s tears as character’s fate ‘sealed’ in 45 pictures

EastEnders sees a number of secrets on the cusp of exposure next week, as confirmed in my new pictures, with a murder investigation essentially re-opened as questions are asked.

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) fear the worst when not one but two Walford favourites begin to ask questions about their behaviour, with Callum Highway (Tony Clay) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) on the case.

Callum’s suspicions are initially piqued by Linda and soon he turns his attention to Sharon, quizzing her about Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) death and Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) alleged involvement in the crime.

Phil is also on the scent after his suspicions are raised, as he demands that Sharon come clean.

Sharon goes out of her way to throw him off the trail and, when it looks like she might have succeeded in doing so, another issue arises, with Callum deciding to speak to the officers who investigated Keanu’s death, hoping for answers.

Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), who knows what really happened to Keanu, is quick to get involved in the situation, attempting to professionally swerve him.

Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), however, reckons that this isn’t enough and therefore he uses Ben Mitchell’s (Max Bowden) absence to try and convince Callum to let this go.

But will his efforts prove successful?

Elsewhere, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) is adamant that she’s going to attend Jordan’s baptism, despite Patrick’s (Rudolph Walker) pleas for her to skip it.

After some words of advice from Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris), Yolande is buoyed to attend, but it all gets too much for her as she shouts at abuser Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler) before rushing out.

It’s going to be a big week in the Square!

EastEnders airs these scenes between Monday, June 17 and Thursday June 20 at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
