Following Gloria Knight’s (Elizabeth Counsell) tragic death, George (Colin Salon) attempts to make contact with estranged son Junior to update him to no avail. Eddie (Christopher Fairbanks), meanwhile, gets in touch with George, keen to discuss Gloria, but a vicious showdown ensues between the two.
Frustrated, George heads to the underground boxing club only to be stopped by Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who is concerned about the publican’s wellbeing. Much like Phil predicted, George soon finds himself in danger and winds up getting knocked out!
There’s also a shock in store for Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick), who receives a text from Nadine Keller (Jazzy Phoenix), who wants to talk.
After some advice from Gina (Francesca Henry), he gets in touch with his ex, who confirms that she’s pregnant with his baby!
Jay rushes off, burying his head in the sand but, ultimately, he decides to tell his loved ones the truth.
The question is: just how will they take the news?
Elsewhere in the Square, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) is delighted by Patrick’s (Rudolph Walker) return but there’s soon conflict between the couple as Patrick comes to believe that she’s keeping something from him.
A furious row ensues between the two on the day of the fundraiser and, afterwards, Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler) sexually assaults Yolande in the kitchen at the community centre.
Devastated, Yolande seeks solace in the launderette, where she confides in Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) while the twisted pastor’s past is revealed in an unique hour-long offering.
