EastEnders Denise’s downfall ‘exposed’ as she makes chilling confession ahead of ‘exit’

EastEnders resident Denise Fox visited her killer ex Lucas Johnson in prison in recent scenes of the BBC soap and it looks like she might confess to The Six's big murderous secret

EastEnders’ Denise Fox might be in trouble after her recent murder confession.

Tuesday night (February 20) saw Denise turn to her killer ex-husband Lucas Johnson for help as she struggles to come to terms with the guilt surrounding Keanu’s murder. It seems he managed to get her to get her to hint that her and The Six killed Keanu Taylor.

Denise went to see him in prison, hoping to understand her feelings after Keanu’s murder. Denise and the rest of The Six have been trying to cover up the fact that Linda killed Keanu on Christmas Day, and they hid his body under the café floor.

Lately, we’ve seen Denise’s mental health worsen as she battles with guilt and lies, especially after her necklace fell into the grave and stayed with the body. Now, she’s worried that the others will frame her, and she’s also stressed about Linda Carter’s son Johnny discovering their secret.

Denise is suffering from psychosis and keeps seeing Keanu everywhere, even hearing him speak to her. She worried Lucas when she visited him and said she needed to say sorry for her sins.

He really wanted her to tell him what she was hiding and said he was someone she could trust. When she wondered if he would keep her secret, he said she had to tell him what was wrong to be forgiven by God.

He kept saying she had to tell the truth. Denise then said she needed Keanu, whom she called the Devil, to find peace.

Lucas said to her: “Confess and you will be free,” and Denise asked: “You won’t tell, you swear?” Then she said it wasn’t just her secret and that there were others involved.

She told him: “It’s not just my secret, the others… you don’t know what they will do. You don’t know what they are capable of.” Lucas said she should tell everything to feel better, and then she finally said: “I buried him, I put him in the ground.”

It’s yet to be confirmed if Lucas will figure out the whole story or if Denise will tell more about what happened. But it comes ahead of Denise’s potential exit from the soap, as she’ll lose control and run off into the woods.

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
