EastEnders Eddie Knight’s downfall ‘sealed’ – but it’s not George who ‘gets revenge’
EastEnders’ Eddie Knight has repulsed fans in recent episodes amid the murder twist - now they are certain he’ll be jailed and claim they’ve ‘worked out’ who will go against him
EastEnders fans reckon Eddie Knight will finally get what’s coming to him.
The character, played by Christopher Fairbank, rocked up to Walford this year – as the adoptive father of George Knight (Colin Salmon). Along with his wife Gloria, the pair were keen to catch up with their son and granddaughters Anna and Gina.
However, in a shocking turn of events, George found out the truth about his adoption. The Knights revealed that they had bought him through a process known as baby farming back in the day – which is when children were illegally sold to couples by their biological parents.
George then discovered that he wasn’t actually Jamaican as he was led to believe. Instead, it was West Africans who were forced to give him up when he was a tot.
George forgave his parents and they went on their way. But over in Walford recently, Eddie and Gloria showed up again – in need of a favour.
It was eventually revealed this week that Eddie is about to stand trial for a racially motive murder that happened 30 years ago. As a result, he needs George to be his character witness.
Despite refusing, mum Gloria begged George to go ahead with it. She insisted the claims were made-up before admitting her husband wouldn’t survive in prison.
However later on, George found it within himself to look up the court case. A photo of the victim – Henry Kofi Asare – appeared in the news article as a shocked George continued reading.
And in Wednesday’s episode (February 14) it was revealed that Henry Kofi Asare was actually George’s biological father. He was tragically killed by Eddie after he threatened to take his son back.
Now, fans are certain that Eddie’s downfall is coming – and they reckon it won’t be George getting revenge. Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, some fans mused how it could be Gloria who goes against Eddie and sends him down for the murder.

One person said: “A plot twist I’d like to see is gloria betrays eddie and gets him locked up.” A second added: “Yesss she can finally rid him from controlling her life!” A third chimed in and quipped: “I beg.”
Someone else pondered: “I know saying this is kinda me feeling bad but I think Gloria will have a heart attack. And Eddie will make a runner but the cops catch him and arrest him cuz there were sirens in the background earlier.”
