The EastEnders fan had absolutely no idea she was surrounded by Albert Square royalty
An EastEnders fan watching the soap on her mobile phone had no idea Natalie Cassidy was sitting right behind her on a Ryanair flight to Glasgow. Nat and fellow EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick were heading up to the Scottish city on Sunday afternoon when they noticed the woman watching a recent scene with Linda Carter.
The cheeky pair, who play Sonia Fowler and Jay Brown, even took a video of the woman and posted it to Instagram, with Nat giving a grin and pointing at the clueless woman.
A couple of hours after sharing the hilarious video, Jamie then posted a selfie alongside Nat and a smiling ‘Jools from Glasgow’ who had no idea she was surrounded by Albert Square royalty.
A fan account, sharing the clips on X, wrote: “This is actually hilarious. I hope she doesn’t clock until they’re all getting off the plane & then shrieks so they give her a hug! We need a part two! Also, I’m nosy and wanna know where NC & JB are flying off to and if it’s for her new project…”
It’s not clear why the stars were heading up to Scotland, but Jamie did share a photo of the BBC building in Glasgow. This week on The One Show, Natalie announced she is working with Gavin & Stacey’s Joanna Page on a podcast all about TV where they talk about the biggest shows currently airing.
Fans also commented on how it might be to sit behind Natalie’s character ‘Sonia’. “Gawd imagine bein’ long haul with Sonia stuck behind you,” one wrote. One fan replied: “I’d love it, she’s even more of a gossip than me – think of all the Square secrets you’d learn!”
