EastEnders fans confused over medical blunder after Dean causes Jade to collapse

EastEnders fans were left with questions as they watched Dean Wicks go to even further lengths to keep his daughter Jade with him after he tampered with her oxygen flow

EastEnders fans spotted something strange as Dean tampered with Jade’s oxygen supply.

Ever since Jade (Elizabeth Green) revealed she was moving to Pakistan with her mum Shabnam, Dean (Matt Di Angelo) has done everything in his power to keep her in Walford. The villain has been tampering with her daughter’s medication as she continues battling cystic fibrosis.

During Wednesday’s instalment (March 20) of the BBC soap, the residents of Albert Square threw a fundraiser for Jade. As it was held in The Vic, Linda (Kellie Bright) banned Dean from attending.

After being taunted by Johnny (Charlie Suff) about not being able to attend, Dean was determined to find his way in. When he arrived, Jade asked Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) to let Dean stay and watch her speech.

As they waited for her big moment, Dean begged Jade to stay with him in London. Growing tired of Dean constantly asking her to remain in Walford, Jade hit back: “I am moving to Pakistan!

“I am going to live with mum and there is nothing you can do to stop me!” In a twisted move to keep his daughter close, Dean unplugged her oxygen supply.

A furious Linda spotted Dean at the bar and demanded he leave. As Jade took to the stage, she struggled to breathe and collapsed.

Moments after being kicked out, Dean rushed into the pub shouting: “What have you done?” as he appeared to pin the blame on Jean (Gillian Wright). But fans noticed something strange about the scene as they questioned how Jade didn’t realise her oxygen supply had been cut off.

Sharing their thoughts online, one wrote: “How did jade not feel that the oxygen wasn’t flowing.” A second agreed: “I’m sorry but Jade should be able to tell the oxygen isn’t on.”

Another penned: “The whole oxygen thing in last night’s episode was ridiculous, she’d have realised it wasn’t connected.” A fourth added: “In the middle of the Vic and no one sees Dean tampering with Jade’s oxygen.” Meanwhile a fifth said: “Not one person noticed the oxygen was unattached.”
