EastEnders’ fans ‘figure out’ who exposes Lauren and Zack affair in Whitney exit

EastEnders fans have speculated about who will reveal the affair between Lauren Branning and Zack Hudson.
Whitney Dean, who is expecting her first child, could be in for a shock as her adopted daughter Britney might expose Zack’s infidelity with Lauren. James Farrar’s character, Zack, has been a pillar of support for Whitney as they faced numerous challenges last year, including his HIV diagnosis and the tragic loss of their daughter Peach.
Despite appearing stronger than ever after Whitney discovered she was pregnant again, the introduction of troubled teenager Britney into their lives has caused friction. Whitney is keen to provide a stable home for Britney, but Zack has been less enthusiastic and only recently found out that Whitney had taken in the teen from her neglectful mother Keeley.
Struggling to accept the reality and angry that Whitney would keep such a thing from him, Zack sought solace in alcohol, before being joined by Whitney’s friend Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) at Peggy’s. One thing led to another, and despite initially rebuffing him, Lauren ended up kissing Zack.
Since then, the two have attempted to move on, but Whitney’s adoptive mum Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) is determined to expose the truth after Zack inadvertently confessed everything to her. A new fan theory is causing a stir on social media, with one eagle-eyed viewer suggesting that Britney (Lola Campbell) might be the one to blow the lid off Zack and Whitney’s secret.
“Britney really loves putting her foot in it doesn’t she? First she tells Zack about Whitney illegally taking her. Now she’s told Whitney about the stolen items. Wouldn’t be surprised if she exposed Zack and Lauren’s deceit eventually,” they wrote.
The soap buff added more fuel to the fire: “Zack and Lauren need to be careful as I think Britney will be the one to expose their kiss to Whitney. Nothing stays a secret on that Square and Britney has accidentally landed people in it a few times before. I wonder if she acted that way in Milton Keynes?”
This sparked another telly fan to throw in their two pence, especially with Shona McGarty’s upcoming departure from the iconic soap: “I wonder if Whitney and Britney decide to leave elsewhere with the new baby and are last seen getting on a bus.”
While the scandalous affair is still hush-hush this week, show insiders have let slip that Britney will be dishing the dirt to Whitney next week, just as she’s set to say ‘I do’ to Zack in a classic soap wedding – but will her words take root?
Shona, who’s been confirmed to be bowing out of the drama-filled series, has had fans clamouring for her character to have a fairy-tale finale after fifteen years of turmoil. Will they get their wish, or is there heartbreak on the horizon?
