Karen wants answers after failing to hear from son Keanu since Christmas – unaware that he was killed by Linda Carter on Christmas Day.

Linda and the other members of The Six have buried Keanu’s body under the floor of the burned out cafe before it was restored by the builders hired by new owner, Nish Panesar.

EastEnders fans are wondering when the body will be discovered – as it’s bound to be in soapland – but some believe there could be a further twist ahead.

Taking to a soap fan forum, one wrote: “I think there’s gonna be a huge twist for the anniversary week.

“I think once they dig the cafe floor up Keanu body is going to be missing. I think Nish will have moved it covertly during the renovations and has it hidden elsewhere?

“This would mean he has ultimate control over all of the women.”

Another replied: “With Karen around, he certainly has enough pieces of the puzzle to put together.”

A fellow viewer added: “I’m starting to think Keanu will return somehow.

“How can all of The Six avoid prison and live with this on their conscience? All of the actresses seem like “long termers” on the show.”

Meanwhile another had a different theory, writing: “Keanu not being dead is about the only way they can save the souls of the Six.

“It would be a fabulous twist if he was alive and returned to torment them.”

Viewers will have to wait and see what happens now Karen has returned, as tonight’s episode of EastEnders has been taken off air and pushed back in the schedules.

In its place is the FA Cup Fourth Round replay between Plymouth Argyle and Leeds United.

The football coverage will start at 7.30pm immediately after The One Show.

It means EastEnders has been pushed back a day, with the rest of this week’s episodes airing at 7.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
