EastEnders’ George Knight diagnosed with shock brain condition as ‘one bad punch could kill him’

His family are left devastated.

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders‘ George Knight will receive a life-changing health diagnosis next week.

Another big week for George will get off to a devastating start when he learns from his daughters that Eddie held Gloria’s funeral without telling him.

Struggling with his emotions over this, George contacts Rufus to arrange a fight.

Worried about their dad, Gina and Anna come up with the idea of holding a memorial for Gloria in The Vic to help George grieve, and they even reach out to their half-brother Junior to see if he will join them.

Gina and Anna are disappointed when Junior is a no-show, but things get worse when George feels dizzy and almost collapses.

Realising what’s happening, Cindy and Phil insist George goes to the hospital.

Once there, the doctors give George a CAT scan and discover he’s got a brain condition which is linked to repeated blows to the head.

The situation intensifies when the doctor tells George that one bad knock could kill him.

On the back of this, Elaine and the girls are furious to discover that George has been secretly fighting, and Cindy knew all about it.

Cindy is then left in a dilemma when she later witnesses George get approached by Rufus, who gives him last night’s cash and the offer of another fight.

Her problems get even worse when Gina and Anna refuse to speak to her, furious that she has been keeping George’s boxing secret.

They eventually agree to meet her for lunch, where Cindy promises to convince George not to fight again.

Cindy then has a tense conversation with George, who initially rejects her suggestion of online therapy to help him cope with his overwhelming emotions.

Cindy is relieved when she is eventually able to talk George around, but once alone, he rings Rufus to arrange a fight for the following week.

When he tells Cindy what he intends to do, she gives him an ultimatum but will this be enough to change his mind?
