EastEnders’ George Knight will get more devastating news in the wake of Gloria’s death.
Gloria passed away in some emotional scenes, having suffered a heart attack in court earlier in the week.
Her husband Eddie has been standing trial for the racially aggravated murder of George’s biological father, and was sentenced to prison shortly before she died.
Throughout this terrible trauma, George has started secretly seeking outlets for his anger, including an underground fight club.
New spoilers for Monday’s episode (April 15) has revealed how a grieving George will make a difficult phone call to his estranged son Junior to update him about the news, but gets his voicemail instead.
George’s day then takes a further turn when Eddie rings him from prison and asks him to meet to discuss Gloria.
During a nasty showdown, Eddie and George trade wounding words, which sends George deeper into despair.
George is horrified when Eddie bans him from Gloria’s funeral and heads to the underground boxing club to let off some steam.
A concerned Phil tries to talk some sense into George, but he won’t listen.
Although Phil begs him not to fight, George goes ahead with it anyway and ends up getting knocked out.
The following day, George wakes up on Phil’s sofa battered and bruised.
Elaine, Anna and Gina are horrified to see the state of him when he returns and he lies that some thugs jumped them.
George tries to make some headway against Eddie, but a knockback sends him spiralling again.
