EastEnders star Lacey Turner has revealed a surprising hobby – and it’s worlds away from something Stacey Slater would do!

The actress, 36, has appeared in the BBC One soap for twenty years, and has recently been embroiled in a huge story that has seen her character, alongside five other Walford women, cover up the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).

The events on Christmas Day saw the ladies unite over their distaste for the way men have treated them over the years, and when Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) arrived trying to attack wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) hit him over the head with a champagne bottle.

Nish survived, but Keanu wasn’t as lucky when he attempted to throttle Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) was forced to stab him with a meat thermometer.

The Six women then bundled his body into some tarpaulin before burying it under the floor of the café. When it was eventually discovered, Stacey pinned the blame on evil rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) and he was sent down.

But after seeing a recent Instagram post from Lacey, we can’t help but feel the foundations of the Bridge Street caff was the wrong choice for Keanu’s shallow grave.

After all, her talents seem to be in gardening – the allotment would’ve been a much better place!

Telling her 534,000 followers about her green-fingered skills, Lacey said: ‘Just want to show you what’s in my green house, because I feel like I haven’t shown you since I planted all the seeds – and it’s bloody wild in here.’

She continued: ‘I’ve got broccoli, it needs to go in the ground really but I’m just waiting on my beds.

‘Look at those strawberries! Strawbs. Look at my cosmos, these are all seeds that the kids bought me for Mother’s Day, they’re in that little hessian bag.’

She then went on to exclaim that she ‘can’t bloody believe it!’ as she reeled off a number of plants, and an impressive corn.

The petition starts here for Stacey to start growing her own veg to serve up in her delicious baps.
