JACK is horrified by his discovery but makes a major mistake
EASTENDERS’ Jack Branning has made a huge discovery about wife Denise Fox and the Six.
The copper – who is played by actor Scott Maslen in the BBC soap – has become suspicious of wife Denise’s breakdown after discovering she attacked Nish Panesar.
Viewers know she did and then framed Keanu Taylor after he was killed by Linda Carter while trying to murder Sharon Watts.
Denise suffered a psychotic break and was haunted by visions of Keanu – and in an attempt to explain it away, Stacey Slater told Jack it was because she attacked Nish.
Now after being released, Denise made a shock confession to the other women.
She summoned the other women to the Vic and then tore strips off them for leaving her to pay the price for what happened.
But she shocked them by saying: “I don’t want to fight. I just want to focus on my recovery and feel safe again. I got us up here to say that what we got away with is murder. So stay away from me please.”
She added: “If I’m going to survive, I’m going to need to stay away from all of you.”
Despite the other women’s worries, Denise insisted she was strong enough to keep Jack at bay and ensuring he wouldn’t discover the truth.
Later at home Jack had other ideas.
Having got the evidence from the investigation out and began looking at it with fresh eyes, Jack realised something didn’t make sense.
And he confronted Denise, insisting she would need to confess to protect his career.
However, realising that she couldn’t trust him, Denise played a dangerous game and gave him an ultimatum.
“Make a choice, a future with me, our family,” she said.
“It’s our chance to be happy again. Jack please, it’s within our grasp.
“Or you pursue this case against me. And you can lose me and this family. Forever. I’m sorry. Job or marriage. What’s it going to be?”
Jack didn’t answer but looks utterly confused about the choices facing him. Will he drop his investigation or will he expose The Six?
