EastEnders fans fear Jade will die after Dean made a sinister move.

Jade Masood (Elizabeth Green) was reintroduced in 2023 as the daughter of Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo). It was revealed Jade was suffering with cystic fibrosis and she recently underwent a lung transplant.

During Thursday’s episode of the BBC soap, which aired on Friday (March 1), Jade told Dean that she was moving to Pakistan with her mum Shabnam Masood (most recently played by Rakhee Thakrar). Although Jade admitted to enjoying life in Walford, she wanted to be close to her mother and grandma Zainab Masood (Nina Wadia) who had recently fallen ill.

Dean enlisted the help of a lawyer to determine whether he could keep Jade living with him, but she revealed that if there are no issues with Jade’s health, then there are no grounds to keep her in Walford.

Later, Dean opened up Jade’s tablets and removed the contents inside before adding them to her medication. Jade thanked her dad for sorting out her tablets as Dean watched her take one of the tablets.

Fans immediately swarmed X, formerly Twitter, to predict that Dean would go as far as killing his daughter to stop her from leaving. One wrote: “Dean is f***ing scary lol he is tryna kill his child because he is afraid to lose her.”

Another penned: “But deadass is Dean okay ?! So you’d potentially kill your own daughter because you want her all to yourself ? He’s acc the devil because huh.” A third speculated: “Oh great now deans going to get jade killed.”

A fourth fumed: “UCH!!! Just when you thought Dean couldn’t get any lower?! He’s literally prepared to kill his own daughter?! Psychotic!!! Watching him do that was SICK.”

Echoing this, someone else shared: “So more than willing to risk Jade ‘s life? Why? Cos legally he can’t stop Shabham taking her really? When it gets out out about this he’ll be lucky if he ever sees her literally ever again.”
