This article contains spoilers for Monday’s (April 8) EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

Things are looking bleak for The Six following Sharon Watts’ arrest in EastEnders, but Kathy Beale and Suki Panesar (Gillian Taylforth and Balvinder Sopal) aren’t prepared to go down without a fight.

The Six were left horrified in recent weeks when the café floor collapsed, and Keanu Taylor’s body was finally discovered.

Viewers will remember that the women worked together to bury him after he was stabbed to death by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) on Christmas Day.

With the news of the body circulating the Square and police eager to find a culprit, Suki and Kathy came up with a plan to protect themselves, much to the horror of Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff).

While Johnny was busy trying to get Sharon off the hook, Suki and Kathy pulled Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) aside and informed her of their plan.

They explained how they couldn’t guarantee that Johnny wanted to protect anyone other than Linda, meaning that any one of them could end up taking the fall.

Suki was quick to point out that he hadn’t got Sharon released yet, and that it was in their best interest to have some kind of insurance.

Because of this, they decided to keep hold of the murder weapon, despite Johnny’s insistence that they get rid of it.

When Johnny later returned to the Square without Sharon, he questioned Kathy on what she had done with the meat thermometer, and Suki was quick to fill him in.

Johnny was horrified, and insisted that the weapon had DNA evidence on it.

Kathy pointed out that it only had Linda’s DNA, and they planned on keeping it in case Johnny and Linda turned on them and they needed to make a plea bargain.

Though Johnny insisted that wouldn’t happen, the rest of The Six weren’t prepared to take the risk.

Could The Six really turn on Linda in order to save themselves?
