EastEnders Soap Scoop! Cindy tries to win back George

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders‘ Kathy Beale has some harsh words for Cindy in Thursday’s episode (May 30).

Show bosses have released a first-look picture previewing the latest clash between the popular characters.

Cindy recently betrayed her partner Ian by sharing a kiss with her ex-husband George Knight.

This week’s episodes have seen George’s estranged partner Elaine Peacock tip off Ian over what happened behind their backs.

Ian chose not to confront Cindy about the revelation, but Cindy later learned from George that Elaine had told him.

In Thursday’s visit to Walford, Kathy learns about her son being betrayed and she decides to intervene.

Although Ian begs her not to, Kathy confronts Cindy in front of her daughters Anna and Gina. How far will she go as she speaks her mind?

Michelle Collins, who plays Cindy, recently explained why her character is so keen to rekindle things with George.

She revealed: “When things aren’t going right for Cindy, she harks back to the past and what life could have been – like she’s doing with George and Spain.

“But at the end of the day, life wasn’t that rosy in Spain. It’s like when any of us reminisce, it’s only about the good things.

“Cindy thinks that everything will be absolutely fine if she gets back with George. She is really emotional about it.”

Next week’s episodes see Cindy make another attempt to win George back, but she could be setting herself up for a fall.

Michelle added: “She thinks, ‘I’ll go around there, I’ll manipulate him, and it’ll be really easy,’ but she’s not thinking things through. Cindy never thinks of the consequences of her actions.”
