EastEnders legend Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) left us crying into our dinner as he broke down in emotional scenes this week.

Phil has pushed away all of his loved ones over the past few days due to a range of disagreements, and now he has found himself totally alone.

First of all, Phil was left gutted when neither of his older children contacted him on Father’s Day back in June – something which Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford) was quick to point out this week during an argument.

Phil has made his feelings about Stevie clear, even going so far as to frame him for stealing Lola’s charity money.

After finding out the truth about the missing money, Billy confronted Phil, and made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with him going forward.

Despite this, Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) went out of his way to invite Phil to the family meal in recent scenes, though it did nothing to repair his relationship with the family.

When an argument broke out between him and Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway), even Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown) was reluctant to take Phil’s side, and soon he headed off home alone.

However, he was set to further alienate himself from his family when he snapped at son Raymond not once, but twice, resulting in Denise Fox (Diane Parish) taking him to stay with Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter).

Phil was devastated, and begged her not to take his son away, but she made her feelings very clear.

When Phil headed back to the house, he was all alone, and soon broke down in his armchair in front of all his family photos.

Is Phil’s relationship with his family beyond repair, or will he manage to get back in the fold?
