This article contains spoilers for Monday’s (April 29) EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) has been really struggling after the murder of brother Keanu, but recent scenes saw her receive support from show legend Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).

Bianca returned to Albert Square unexpectedly, and was quick to catch up with Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) and good friend Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).

After learning that Bernie couldn’t bear to go back to work in the cafe, where she had found Keanu’s body, Bianca sought her out and confided that she had found her brother Billie dead a number of years ago.

Billie died of alcohol poisoning back in 2010, and Bianca admitted to Bernie that she had thought he was just asleep at first.

She explained how it had been difficult to continue living where his body had been found, but over time it got much easier.

She went on to warn Bernie that if she didn’t go back in the cafe soon, then it would always be the worst place in the world to her, and that it would get easier over time if she returned to work.

As Bianca pointed out that Bernie still had her memories of Keanu, and that eventually the cafe would go back to being just a ‘boring old caff’, Bernie seemed willing to give her job another go.

With Bianca having already agreed to work Bernie’s shifts, she quickly decided that they should convince boss Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) to let them both work at the cafe.

Are we set to see more of Bianca supporting Bernie through her grief?
