EastEnders newbie quits soap just three months after joining in explosive twist

One EastEnders star is set to leave Albert Square for good this week in a dramatic turn of events, as one cruel TV villain is finally slapped with the hand of justice

One EastEnders newcomer has quit the soap after just five months in Walford – and now their dramatic exit has been revealed.

Last year, the BBC soap brought back Dean Wicks, with the rapist swiftly sparking terror in his victim, Linda Carter once more. Dean returned to Walford to nearer to his daughter Jade Green, who underwent a lung transplant relating to her cystic fibrosis diagnosis.

After recovering from her surgery, Jade (Elizabeth Grreen) came to stay with her dad in Albert Square. But in recent weeks, she was planning to move over to Pakistan to reunite with her mum, Shabnam Masood.

In a bid to prevent her from going, Dean began to tamper with Jade’s medication. This made his daughter so unwell that she needed to go back onto oxygen in order to improve.

But the TV villain didn’t stop there, as he went on to tamper with her oxygen supply during her charity fundraiser which led to her collapsing at the event. However, Dean got away with the incident by framing Jean Slater for his actions.

However, the TV bad boy wasn’t out of the woods yet, as his fellow residents managed to get their own back for his cruel crimes. He has been framed by The Six for Keanu Taylor’s murder and is currently being held in police custody.

Jade later learns that it was her dad who tampered with her medication in an explosive turn of events. During Tuesday’s episode (April 23), she revealed her visa had been approved and she could finally move to Pakistan.

Shabnam had called her with the news, and revealed she had booked her onto a flight which was set to leave the following day. However, spoilers for tonight’s episode (April 24) reveal Dean gets in touch to ask his daughter to pay him a visit in prison.

It’s fair to say the Slaters are far from supportive about the idea, and Stacey finally convinces her not to go with help from her mum Jean. Instead, they arrange a leaving party for Jade in The Queen Vic where Avani gives Jade food for thought.

As this goes on, Dean is forced to defend himself again in prison. He denies claims that he tampered with Jade’s medication and insists that he is not to blame for Keanu’s death.

But will Dean finally tell the truth about Jade’s pills before his daughter jets off for a new life in Pakistan? Viewers will have to stay tuned to see how this unfolds…
