It’s Father’s Day in EastEnders at the start of next week and with two of his children well, elsewhere, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is feeling lonely.

Phil’s son Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) left Walford earlier this year after getting arrested for committing fraud in America while daughter Louise (Tilly Keeper) lives in Portugal.

Over Christmas, it was confirmed Phil actually has another son – Albie – Sharon Watts’s (Letitia Dean) little boy.

Under the impression Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was Albie’s dad for most of the his life, Sharon only discovered the DNA truth after Albie had a test at the hospital.

Coming up, as the likes of Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) head off for an afternoon of fishing with their sons, Phil suddenly realises just how quiet his life is without Ben and Louise around.

He’s further disappointed when he watches Denise Fox (Diane Parish) take his son Raymond (honestly, we struggle to remember them all as well) over to Number 20 for christening prep.

Phil then approaches Callum Highway (Tony Clay) and discovers he’s failed to invite him to a video call with Ben.

With nowhere else to turn, Phil heads to Number 43 and asks Sharon for time with Albie.

Initially reluctant, Sharon eventually lets Phil and Albie play football in the Square.

As the day continues, Sharon convinces Callum to ask Phil to join Ben’s prison call, but the moment is short-lived and Sharon abruptly leaves when Callum starts asking questions about Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) and Keanu.

Later on, Phil heads to Number 43 again to speak with Sharon, and after intercepting a suspicious text from Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) on her phone, he demands to know the truth…
