EastEnders’ age-old question about the Queen Vic has finally been answered.
The iconic landmark has been a staple on the show since 1985. Known for the families that have run the pub over the years, and also for the drama that takes place inside, the Queen Vic really is the heart of the square.
It is said that the fictional pub was built in the 1860s and originally had two bars – the public bar and the saloon. According to former landlady Sharon Watts’, the first owners were Mr and Mrs Bagstock.
But throughout the soap’s 39-year-run on TV, many fans have been left stumped over whether or not the iconic pub uses real beer and if smells the boozy beverage. Now, the answer has been revealed.
