EastEnders Reiss ‘set to murder’ with victim ‘revealed’ – but it’s not his wife Debbie
EastEnders’ Reiss is resorting to desperate measures to fund his coma-induced wife’s care bills - but fans now reckon a killer twist is on the cards for the accountant
EastEnders fans reckon Reiss Colwell is about to snap – and have “worked out” his victim.
The character, played by Jonny Freeman, made his first soap appearance in 2022. As the late Dot Branning’s (June Brown) great-nephew, Reiss quickly got settled into life on the square.
He also started a relationship with soap legend Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy). The pair were desperate to have a child but faced several hurdles – including Reiss’ infertility.
What’s more, in a tragic twist it was revealed last year that Reiss’ wife was hospitalised in a long-term coma. Longing to have a baby, and despite a long wait, Sonia and Reiss managed to get IVF with Sonia undergoing treatment.
But in a devastating twist, Sonia was told she wasn’t actually pregnant. The pair have started IVF again, but this week in EastEnders, Reiss found himself in dire financial straits.
The accountant was handed an £18,000 bill for outstanding care fees for his coma-induced wife Debbie. However, he was then thrown a lifeline when Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) offered him to work to sort out her accounts.
However, Reiss ended up stealing some cash for his own bank account – and later felt terrible when Sharon gave him a bonus.
Now, fans are certain that Reiss is about to spiral amid his lies and Debbie’s mounting care bills. So much so, that they reckon he could be the soap’s “next serial killer.”
On X, one person said: “I feel like Reiss can kill. There’s a serial killer somewhere deep inside of him itching to be let out.” Someone else added: “Reckon Reiss is going to murder Debbie to save on care home fees and get all her money.”
However, other fans think it could be Sharon who ends up facing the wrath of Reiss. Another viewer wrote: “You know something if they do a reveal that Reiss is pushed to breaking point and kills Sharon….”
A second penned: “Reiss is trying to scam Sharon.. this won’t end well..” A third proclaimed: “Creepy Reiss is going to attack or kill Sharon isn’t he.” Another warned: “Oh bl***y Hell, stay away from Sharon.”
