This article contains spoilers for Wednesday’s (April 3) EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

Keanu Taylor’s body has finally been found, giving two residents the shock of their lives after stumbling across the corpse.

Keanu was stabbed to death by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) on Christmas Day, with The Six later helping her to bury his body beneath the cafe.

Since then, the cafe has been open as usual, and The Six’s rushed cement job hasn’t managed to survive the wear and tear of everyday business.

After discovering a crack in the floor, Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) was shocked when she arrived at work the next day and found that the floor had completely caved in, and the room was filled with a horrible smell.

As word got round that the cafe was closed due to the disaster, it sent The Six into a panic – none more so than Denise Fox (Diane Parish), who’s necklace had fallen in with Keanu’s body.

While Denise and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) snuck into the cafe to retrieve the lost necklace, Bernie drowned her sorrows about being without a wage, and ended up getting really drunk.

As Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison) attempted to get her home, they ran into Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), who had just returned from his trip abroad.

Poor Alfie was thrown in the deep end when Felix left him to look after drunk Bernie, and she had soon decided that she wanted chips for dinner, and dragged him to the cafe to steal some.

It didn’t take her long to notice that the floor looked much worse than it had when she’d left it, and after some investigation she and Alfie were horrified to realise that there was a body beneath the floor.

After screaming, Bernie and Alfie contacted the police, who rushed to the scene, drawing the attention of the Albert Square resident.

When Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) asked what was going on, Bernie revealed that they had found a body, leaving the whole neighbourhood stunned.
