An EastEnders funeral isn’t an EastEnders funeral without a bit of drama, and Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) memorial will be no different as he’s laid to rest on Thursday (13 June).

With Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) making another return visit to Walford to say goodbye to her late son, she’s set for a showdown with long-running rival and Keanu’s ex Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

In scenes airing during tomorrow’s episode, Sharon heads over to The Queen Vic to see Karen, but it isn’t long before they fall back into old habits and are hurling insults at one another.

As things get heated between the warring women, Kat Mitchell (Jessie Wallace) and Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) are forced to step in and break them up.

Lorraine, who plays Karen, was written out of EastEnders along with the rest of the Taylor-Baker family back in December.

The plot saw the clan make a hasty exit for Spain, after deciding to keep £50k of Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) money, which Keanu conned out of him while staging son Albie’s kidnap.

Keanu was later murdered by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) in The Vic on Christmas Day, after the truth about his involvement in Albie’s kidnap came to light on his wedding day to Sharon.

Along with Denise Fox, Stacey Slater, Suki Panesar and Kathy Beale (Diane Parish, Lacey Turner, Balvinder Sopal and Gillian Taylforth), Linda and Sharon covered up Keanu’s murder, later framing Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) for the crime.

Who will come out on top? (Picture: BBC)
Karen made a brief comeback to Walford in February in search of a missing Keanu, with some serious questions for The Six, who claimed he was the one who attacked Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) while holding them hostage in The Vic.

With Linda still struggling with her guilt over Keanu’s murder, and his wake being held in her pub, will things go off without any further hitches, or will The Six’s secret come spilling out?

Catch these scenes on Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One, and from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
